As the UK continues to remain the number one go-to destination for families that are looking for an overseas international education for their children, we continue our Top Schools event series with Badminton and Caterham school on the 24th of April.
Both Badminton and Caterham provide education from 3 – 18, Badminton is all girls and Caterham operates on a co-ed model. In terms of their locations, they both operate on campus sites that are close to the surrounding towns. This gives them a secluded atmosphere whilst also having the convenience of good transport links.
Academically, both of these schools provide an excellent education with the majority of students going on to the best Russell Groups universities and some students going on to Oxbridge, which is the pinnacle of UK higher education.
One of the standout co-curricular activities at Caterham is their own Kit Car Club, this was set up in 2008 as the school retains strong links with Caterham the car manufacturer. The parts get delivered to the school by Caterham and, when the car nears completion, Caterham take it back and check it over before sending it to the show room!
In the words on ex-top gear and TV presenter, Richard Hammond, “Best School Project Ever: As you know, I love science and am always keen to find ways of getting kids interested in why things go fast, etc. So, I like this scheme. A school in Caterham, Surrey is being given a Caterham Seven sports car in kit form which the kids will build learning about Physics along the way. Once finished it will be sold and that will pay for a kit for the following year. Brilliant!”
Much like Caterham, Badminton School provides students with a whole host of academic enrichment programs. In 2020, a team of girls from the school won the prestigious Peter Jones Foundation Business Tycoon Enterprise Competition, with their company “The Citrus Way” which focuses on producing environmentally friendly cleaning solutions. This was a fantastic achievement from the students and is testament to the intellectual curiosity of Badminton’s students and the atmosphere that the school creates to foster this.
If you are interested in applying to either of these schools or in fact interested in UK Private Education, then email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our team will be in touch. Students needs to be pre-assessed for all of our Top Schools events so make sure you hurry so you don’t miss out on the opportunity!
A:Hello, this event itself is free, but we charge a fee of 500RMB for the pre-test. Testing is free for a limited time this month.
A:The school has entrusted BE Education to pre-test the students in order to know more about the child’s learning level. The test will generate a detailed report, which will serve as a reference to the school. This is an essential part of applying to a British secondary school.
